Mochi

Hi, I’m Mochi — and if you’re looking for a pup who’s been through it and still chooses joy, I think we might be meant for each other.

My story started with a pretty scary moment — I was hit by a car. My leg was badly injured, and my family at the time got me surgery… but it didn’t heal the way it was supposed to. I was still hurting, and instead of helping me through the next step of recovery, they gave up on me. They listed me online, just hoping someone else would take me. That’s when the rescue stepped in and said, “We’ve got you.”

They didn’t just take me in — they gave me a second chance. I had a second surgery to finally fix my leg the right way, and now I’m recovering in a foster home that makes me feel like I actually belong. It’s warm here, and peaceful, and full of love (and treats — I really like the treats). I’ve made a few dog friends too, and they help keep my spirits up while I regain my strength.

My foster family says I’m sweet, polite, and always ready to snuggle. I’m not one to complain — I’m just grateful to be safe. Every day, I feel a little stronger. I’m building muscle, stretching more, and slowly getting back to the goofy, active boy I was always meant to be.

What I’m really hoping for now is a forever home. A place with kind people who will keep cheering me on as I finish healing — and stick with me long after. I’d love a dog buddy, a soft spot to rest, and a heart that sees mine.

I may have some scars, but they’re just proof of how far I’ve come. I’ve got so much love to give… I just need someone to give it to.
